Kala’e Parish to Perform August 29 at Baldwin Home Museum
On Thursday, August 29, from 6 to 7:30 pm enjoy the free Hawaiian Music Series featuring Kala’e Parish on the front lawn of the Baldwin Home Museum at the corner of Front and Dickenson Streets in Lahaina. Now, in its 11th consecutive year, the monthly Hawaiian Music Series is a popular event and wonderful way to spend a warm spring evening in Lahaina.
Kala’e Parish has been a professional musician and entertainer in Hawai’i since 2013, performing throughout the islands and abroad. Recording and releasing original music alongside band Eden Roc, their songs earned top spots on Hawaii’s #1 radio stations. In 2016, he began his solo journey as an artist and recorded his very first album. His new album titled Where I Reside will be released in Fall 2019. This eclectic, 8-track album will feature all original songs, with a fresh twist of music from pop country infused with lyrics about his island home, to smooth latin rock, to love ballads.
Limited seating is provided and blankets, mats and low beach chairs are welcome. This ongoing program is supported by Hawai’i Tourism Authority and Outlets of Maui. Hawaiian Music Series is hosted by Lahaina Restoration Foundation.
A paid parking lot is located behind the venue with access from Dickenson Street. Parking fees from the lot are used by the Lahaina Restoration Foundation to maintain and preserve the many historic sites in Lahaina.
